Richard Elmore

Mr. Richard "E-Po" Elmore, the son of the late Leroy Elmore, Sr. and Maybell Myers Elmore was bore on February 2, 1954, in Orangeburg County. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Pruitt Health in Orangeburg SC. Richard grew up in Holly Hill and did whatever he could do in the community to help people. He was jointed in holy matrimony to Shelley Walker. Although he is sadly gone, his legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Elmore Jr., and James Elmore.

At an early age Richard joined Rock Hill A.M.E Church and attended until his health failed. He was a member of the Senior Gospel Choir.

Richard leaves to cherish loving memories, his wife Shelley Elmore; mother Maybell Elmore of the home; brothers; Robert and Johnny Elmore, of the home, and Charlie Elmore of Vance , SC; aunts Ella Mack of Holly Hill, SC, Lillie Myers of Bowman, SC, Lucky and Perline Myers, Minnie Olin all of Vance, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
