Leroy Brown, Jr.

Mr. Leroy Brown Jr. was born July 14, 1942 to Vera Coreen Brown and Leroy Brown. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 22, 2024 at MUSC Orangeburg Hospital. He was a resident at Pruitt Health Nursing Home facility in Orangeburg, South Carolina after his brief illness.

Mr. Leroy Brown was educated in Orangeburg School District at Roberts High School. Leroy joined Hill Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he was a faithful and dedicated member. He served on the Usher Board and the Deacon Board.

He was also in the Briner Masonic Lodge #365 for 50 years where he was also a faithful member.

Mr. Leroy work for Westvaco in Summerville, SC for 15 years and for the Town of Holly hill for 20 years until he retired.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; Mr. Sam Brown, Mrs. Katie Thompson, Mrs. Lelie Mae Jamison, and Mr. Draker Brown.

Mr. Leroy leaves to cherish his memories with his loving daughter: Mrs. Shonda Lambright of Holly Hill, SC; two brothers: Mr. Bollic (Peggy) Brown of Holly Hill, SC and Mr. James (Shirley Ann) Brown of Oree Canty; one sister: Vera B. Gilliard (Bobby, deceased) of St. Stephens SC; three specialdeceased) of St. Stephens SC; three special grandchildren: Kahari Lambright, Johnathan Brown, and Adrain Snider all of Holly Hill, SC; one special cousin: Mrs. Deloris Grant; a special friend of the family: Thomas Smalls and a host of nieces, nephews and great-grands, other relatives and friends.
