Yvonne Renee Legare-Drayton

God blessed James and Marie Legare, with a beautiful bouncing baby girl, named Yvonne, on April 8, 1962. She would mature into a kind, loving, caring and nurturing woman. Touching the lives of so many people.  Leaving them with fond memories that would last them for a lifetime.

Yvonne had a great love for God.  Because of this love, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She became a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church in Hollywood, SC, then she later transferred her membership to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Ravenel, SC.

Yvonne received her education in the Philadelphia School System in Philadelphia, PA.  Not only was Yvonne a fast talker, but she was also a fast runner as a member of the school’s track and field team.

Yvonne was a devoted wife to her husband of 30 years, Harold Drayton, who preceded her in death.  They enjoyed all the things that life offered them together.  Now she’s having a wonderful time in Heaven with her husband along with her other family members that preceded her in death.  Her mother; Marie Legare, her father; James Legare, her grandmother; Mary Jane Smith, her brother; Jimmy Legare, her uncle; Joseph Smith and a host of other relatives.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter; Lena Haines, her granddaughter; Lauren Gordon, both of Summerville, South Carolina, her sisters; Mary Legare, Jackie Legare, her brothers; Bobby Holmes (Rose), John Legare (Frederikia), her step-brother; Sean Fisher, all of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a special niece; Aaliyah Legare, of North Charleston, South Carolina, and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
