Walter "Walnut" James Jr.

Walter James Jr., the son of Dorothy James and Walter James Sr. was born on Monday, November 16, 1959, at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York.
 
On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the angel of the lord swept through his room, lifted him up, and flew him to his new home.
 
Walter attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx and Baruch College in Manhattan. He worked at Verizon for almost two decades.
 
In April 1988, he was joined in holy matrimony to Juanita Corniff. The union was blessed with three children.
 
Walter joined Greater Target AME Church at an early age and accepted Christ as his savior.
 
Those who will forever love and cherish the fond memories of him are his three children: Brittany James (fiancé Joshua Odell) of Astoria, NY, Jordan (Rebecca) James of New Fairfield, CT and Darien James of Tarrytown, NY.
 
One granddaughter, Riley James of New Fairfield, CT.
 
Five aunts, Arlene Brown of Burlington, NC, Lula James of Holly Hill, SC, Dorothy Bradley of Carthage, NC, Gloria Macon of Holly Hill, SC, Lillie James of Holly Hill, SC. Two uncles, Rutledge (Ora Lee) James of Orangeburg, SC, Barret Gordine of NC. One brother-in-law, Sidney Corniff Jr. of the Bronx, NY. A friend/brother, Richard Clarke (Rhonda Herman) of White Plains, NY.
 
Walter also leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
