Vicki Laverne Brown Parker

Mrs. Vicki L. Parker, departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in Charleston, SC at the age of 54. Vicki was born on November 13, 1969 in New York City. She was a beacon of kindness and love, and deeply committed to her family, friends and her faith.

Vicki attended Roberts High School in Holly Hill, SC and later received her diploma from Cornerstone Christian Correspondence School. She cherished member of the Word Ministries Christian Center, where she also enjoyed singing and serving her community.

Vicki met the love of her life, Raymond L. Parker, Jr. in February of 1991 and they were married on May 3, 1991. Her life as a homemaker  was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her role as a loving mother and grandmother. Vicki was always a simple and no-nonsense young woman who's favorite pastime was to spend intimate time with her children and husband.

Vicki was preceded in death by her brother, Keemon Brown, Uncle, Moyes Joseph, Her grandparents, Franklin (Papa) Joseph and Martha (Nana) Joseph.

She leaves behind to cherish fond memories, her husband of the home; five daughters, Ebony Brown and Tiffany Brown of Denver, CO, Rayjene (Stephon) Pickett of Davenport, FL, Victoria ( Marcus) McClinton of Charleston, SC and Shantaya Foneca of New Bedford, MA; four grandchildren, Arianna Brown, Alaysha Collins, Kyrie McClinton and Khalil McClinton; her parents, Dorothy (Pepper) Brown of Vance, SC and Ralph Brown, Sr, of New York City; her siblings; Rosalind Brown and Rev. Dr. R. L. Poppy (Amy) Brown of Vance, SC; three special aunts, Helen Elmore of Vance, SC, Margaret Carn of Harleyville, SC and Shelia H. Jamison of Santee, SC. Vicki also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other family member and friends who were dear to her.
