End of Watch
Stova Lee Davis, affectionately known as “Big Stove”, was born on January 8, 1949, to the late Mr. Woodrow and Mrs. Jessie Lee Davis. On Monday, November 3, 2025, God called him home from labor to reward.
Stova Lee was a proud graduate of Roberts High School. He later enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with honor. Upon returning from the Army he attended and graduated from Denmark Technical College. He then began working at Petit Construction and became widely respected as a master brick mason, known for his craftmanship and dedication.
Stova Lee married Deloris Summerson, and together they were blessed with four children. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Jessie Lee Davis; brothers, Woodrow Davis Jr., Herbert Lee Davis, and Edward Davis; and sister Catherine Sloane-Lee.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife, Deloris Davis, of the home; Sons: Lamond (LaKesia) Davis of Vance, SC, and Anthony (Veronica) Davis of Holly Hill, SC; Daughters: Yovonda Davis and Amy Davis, both of the home; Grandchildren: JaNiyah, Tiana, Jalin, Roemello, Davion, Destiny, Jerrica, D’montay, and Vincent,; Great-granddaughter Kayia, and one great-grandson on the way; Brothers: James ( Everett) Davis of Holly Hill, SC, Jefferson (Tamara) Davis of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Charlie (Carolyn) Davis of Albany, GA; Sister: Veola (Adam) Williams of Holly Hill, SC; Sister-in-law: Mildred Amaker of Harleyville, SC; Brothers-in-law: Charles (Patricia) Summerson of Holly Hill, SC and James Summerson of Columbia, SC; Close friends: Joe Dupree, Larry Griffin, and George Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stova Lee Davis will be remembered for his strength, his skill, and the love he poured into his family and community. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him
