Stormy “BB” Davis was born on January 29, 1948 to the late George Tot and Maggie Davis in Orangeburg County, SC. He was reared in Eutawville, SC and was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County.
After receiving his high school education, he enrolled in Denmark Trade School where he majored in Culinary Arts. He enjoyed cooking and playing the drums. His gift of playing the drums certainly made room for him because he played for Sam and Dave back in the sixties.
“BB” as he was affectionately known, had a love for race horses. He became a horse trainer first in South Carolina then he relocated to New York and trained horses until he retired. After his retirement, he went to live in Arizona with his sister, Ruth Davis, for a while and then returned to his home town in Eutawville where he spent the rest of his life.
He was married in Holy Matrimony to Dorothy Davis and to this union, three beautiful daughters were born.
“BB”, was preceded in death by his parents: George and Maggie “Gal” Davis; and his three brothers: Jerome Davis, Charlie Davis, and Herman Davis.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his loving family: three daughters: Tammy Davis, Shamica Davis, and Tangy McGee; one grandson; one great-grandson; siblings: Pastor Henrietta Lawrence, Ruth Davis, John H. Davis, Louise Davis, Sadie Brown, Annie Bell, and Marshall Davis (Keshea); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving relatives, and friends.
