Steward Lee Alexander Simpson

Steward Lee Alexander Simpson, born June 20, 1985, to Jeannette Simpson Harrison and the late William Prezzy Jr. in Walterboro, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, and was
called to Heaven. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen Simpson Williams and Jessie Williams.

Steward grew up in Walterboro and Holly Hill, SC, and received his education through the Walterboro School System. Throughout his life, he worked as a professional painter, dedicating himself to his craft with hard work, a kind heart, and a quick smile. His passions included spending time with his children, fishing, working with concrete, and riding with his bike club.

Above all, Steward was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His legacy of kindness and dedication will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

Steward leaves behind his children, Jacques Simpson of Vance, SC; Da’nadrick Simpson, Kobe Simpson, K-Mila Simpson, Malik Simpson, and Dillion Cameron of Charleston, SC. He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Simpson Harrison of Harrisburg, PA; his sister, Thenice Williams of Summerville, SC; and his brothers, Anthony Levi Harrison and Shawn Jermaine Harrison of Harrisburg, PA. Steward is also survived by his grandparents, Walter Lee Prezzy Sr. and Bessie Summerson Prezzy of Holly Hill, SC, a special friend, Deona Cameron, and his stepfather, Zack Harrison. He is also remembered by dear friends Demetria Fuller, Clarissa Oliver, and Ramona Battle, along with a host of aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends.

Steward’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him, and his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in Heaven.
