Stanley Randolph, Sr. Obituary

On April 7, 2025, Stanley Randolph, Sr. made his transition from his earthly body to take his place in his heavenly body. Stanley was born March 27, 1961, in Orangeburg, SC, to Benjamin Randolph, Jr. and Mary Jane Randolph. At an early age, Stanley became a member of Rock Hill A.M.E. Church and attended Roberts High School.

On June 17, 1981, Stanley married the love of his life, Laverne Watson Randolph, whom he affectionately called “Mary Ann”. Stanley has reunited with the love of his life, “Mary Ann” aka “Mitty”, as well as his daughter Latisha Powell, aka “Mooka”. Along with his father, his brothers: Willie & Harold Capers; his mother-in-law: Carrie Lee Watson; father-in-law: Walter Watson, Jr.; sister-in-law: Rhonda Anderson; as well as the rest of his family who have moved on from this earthly place.

Stanley’s first job was working at the Red and White grocery store in Holly Hill, SC. Next, he became a skilled laborer with Williams Builders in Vance, SC.  He then moved on to work for Banks Construction Company as a laborer, working his way up to machine operator. No one could operate a construction machine like Stanley; his reputation for hard work and leadership was so well known that he was recruited to work for Landmark Construction in machine operations. He worked at Landmark Construction until his health forced him into retirement.

Stanley loved to see how fast a car could go, got excited about winning shooting matches, and enjoyed social fellowship with friends and family.

Stanley leaves to cherish his life and legacy, a loving mother: Mary Jane R. Brown; four children: Cadidra (Michael) Asbury, Depedro (Dominique) Randolph, Stanley Randolph Jr., and Shakyra Bunch; a son in law: Terry Powell; and a child he loved as much as his own Marki (Zelphine) Dixon.

Stanley will be eternally remembered by his loving grandchildren: Michael D. (Payton) Asbury, Michaya Asbury, Mayah Asbury, Maveah Asbury, Marlee Asbury, Depedro Randolph Jr, D’Nyah Randolph, London Sheard,Dezire “Bae Bae” Randolph, Demond Randolph, Demonti Randolph, Demoni Randolph, Demari Randolph, Demir Randolph, Amyrie Powell, Kaiden Bunch, Paris Brown, and De’Ari Brown; two great grandchildren: Luna Asbury and Michael L. Asbury; eight devoted siblings: Joe Lewis Smalls, Robert (Susie “Sue Cat”) Randolph, Detra (Tony) Williams, Maggie Blocker, Charles Capers, Gregory Anderson, Barbara Capers, and Darrell Anderson; in-laws near and dear to his hear:, Barbara (George) Fogle, Wille (Ella Mae) Watson, Nathaniel (Joan) Watson, Bridget Capers and Robin Capers Butler; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Special recognition is a cousin who was like a sister: Gwendolyn Prioleau whom he called “Annie Richbird”; as well as The Caswell Lane Men’s Club, where Stanley enjoyed manly fellowship with his closest friends—also, a special thanks to his cousins: Ron Randolph and Michael Void for repeated hospital visits. Stanley will be truly missed by everyone whose life he touched with his jokes and laughter.
