Sonya Bookhart

Sonya Bookhart Dingle, the daughter of Calvin Johnson and Sylvia Bookhart, was born on March 17,1981. Sonya departed this life of Wednesday, October 22,2025, after a brief illness. Sonya attended the public schools in Holly Hill, SC and she attended Outreach to the Unreach Deliverance Center in Eutawville, SC. She was married to Ken Dingle. Sonya was a kind hearted straight forward person, and she loved the Lord.

Sonya was preceded in death by her daughter Sianna Bookhart, a sister Carlethia Bookhart, grandparents Elijah and Cherry Bookhart, Olin and Carolyn White, uncles Jeff Jacques, Joseph Bookhart, Abraham Bookhart, and Ceasar Bookhart.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters Genesis (Noah) Labbe Rock Hill. SC, and Shekinah Bookhart Rock Hill, SC, her mother Sylvia Bookhart Vance,SC  her father and stepmother Calvin and Gail Johnson Santee, SC , two sisters Yakenya (Bennie) Small Vance, SC, and Jakilah Bookhart Vance, SC, one brother Travis (Erica) Bookhart, Kentucky, one grandson Amir Hicks Rock Hill, SC ten aunts Mamie Lou Bookhart Santee, SC, Elizabeth Horton Orangeburg, SC, Patsy Jacques Vance, SC, Donna Bookhart Rock Hill, SC Maxine Bookhart Eutawville, SC, Arthea Dunkin, Emma Lamar, Mary Shepard, Carolyn (Eddie) Amack, and Leatha Johnson all of Holly Hill, SC a very special aunt Margaret Bookhart Holly Hill, SC. Four Uncles Harry Amous Holly Hill, SC, James Jacques Summerville, SC Curtis Banks Harleyville SC, and Harvey Johnson Holly Hill, SC. Special friends Treselyn Collier, Kenya Randolph, and Charlene Davis as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
