Simeon McNeil was born in Bronx, New York on November 2, 1977 to Alice and Walter McNeil Sr. He transitioned on August 23, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.
He attended elementary school in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
The family relocated to Augusta, Georgia in 1986 where he completed his high school education at Lakeside High School, Evans, Georgia. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at an early age.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
He worked as an Accountant for five years at Accountants, Tax Consultants and Lawyers, P.C. in Atlanta Georgia.
He received his Master of Science Degree in Accounting from Strayer University. He became a Certified Public Accountant, an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Enrolled Agent and considered advancing to become a Certified Financial Planner.
He served in the United States Army as a Spanish Linguist.
After discharge from the Army, he resided in San Antonio, Texas. He became a Patrolman upon completion of the Police Academy in the San Antonio Police Department in 2008. Later he served as a Detective in the White Collar Crime Division of the San Antonio Police Department.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Marc McNeil, grandfathers, Prince D. Brown, Emerson McNeil and grandmother Nora McNeil.
Simeon leaves to cherish his memories: 2 children, son Mason and daughter Tristan and their mother, Jasmine, former wife, San Antonio, Texas; Mother, Alice (Julius) Raynor, Grovetown, GA; Father, Walter Sr. (TyWanna) McNeil, Hephzibah, GA; Brothers: Walter Jr. (Iris) McNeil, Augusta, GA, Xavier McNeil, Hephzibah, GA; Grandmother: Jannie R. Brown, Augusta, GA; Uncles: Jimmy (Johan) Brown, Vinings, GA, Ronald Sr. (Mary) Brown, Martinez, GA, Anthony Brown, Atlanta, GA, Reginald (Katerna) McNeil, Bronx, NY, Joseph McNeil, Hepzibah, GA, Talyea Parrish, Tiara Deaz and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Simeon is deeply missed by his family, friends, peers and all who knew him.
