Mrs. Sheila Davis Bienvenu, affectionately know as "Cookie" was born on October 16, 1953, to Mrs. Mamie Green and Mr. Raymond Whaley. God in his infinite wisdom granted Cookie with another mother, Mrs. Mamie Davis Mcknight Odom, who raised her in a Christian home, with an abundance of love. Sheila departed this earthly life on Monday August 29, 2022 at Medical University of South Carolina Hospital.
Sheila attended Charleston County Schools which included Henry P. Archer Elementary School and graduated from Rivers High School in 1971. She furthered her education by attending Manpower Trade School and received a degree in welding. At the Age of twelve (12), Cookie accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her personal Savior at Union Baptist Church and was baptized by the pastor, the late Rev. Robert H. Edmonds. As a member of Union Baptist, she served on the Junior Usher Board along with her mother, Sis. Mamie Odom. Cookie was also a member of the Edmonds Singers, the AJH Choir, the JW Hudson Gospel Choir, Director for the Youth Choir and served on the Kitchen Ministry under the leadership of the late Brother Michael Williams.

Cookie was most proud of being a mother to her boys: Khal, Kerry, Tesh, and Cornel.
On February 14, 2001, Cookie was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Ronald Bienvenu, her devoted and loving husband of 21 years.
Cookie's hobbies were collecting jewelry, cooking, and most of all making people laugh. You could depend on her comedy while in her presence.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Louis Davis, John (Sonnie) Davis and Eric Whaley.
Those left to cherish fond memories are her dedicated husband, Ronald Bienvenu; four loving sons: Khalfani (Julia), Shafarian (Annette), Otesh (Rikisha) and Cornel Davis; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings: Richard E.
