Mother Sadie Mae Jones Wright-Williams was born to the late Mrs. Vivian Inez Myers and Joseph Jones in Lanes, SC on February 8, 1937.
Mother Sadie received her education from Mansfield Ohio Public School district. Her Christian upbringing was in Bethel United Methodist Church and later joined New Joshua United Methodist Church in Monck Corner, SC.
She was joined in holy matrimony to Rev. Alfred Williams, Sr. on July 11, 1998 and later joined Canaan Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.
Mother Sadie loved to Worship the Lord along with dressing and wearing her many hats. She fully enjoyed traveling and cooking as well.
Mother Sadie was preceded in death by her parents: Vivian Myers and Joseph Jones; her children: Carl and Wallace Jones; siblings: James, David, Thomas, Samuel Jr., Paul & Silas Myers, Samuel Parsons, Rosemary Huger, Delores Myers, Emily Myers and Carol Grey; and her step-son: Alfred Williams, Jr.
God in His infinite wisdom, whispered Sadie’s name early morning on August 19, 2024, and she slipped away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Mother Sadie leaves to cherish her fond memories; her loving and devoted husband: of 26 years, Rev. Alfred Williams, Sr.; children: Alice P. Washington, Summerville, S.C., Carolyn Jones of Columbia, S.C., Delbert Roger of Dayton, OH, and Yolanda A. Wright of St. Louis, MO; step-children: Anthony Williams (Brenda), Arnold Williams (Diana), Gail Wright, Cheryl Adkins (Randy) , Kevin Williams (Terra), and Sheldon Williams; four sisters: Marie Myers-Ford, Ruth Hampton, Velma Douglas, and Lundeen M. Graham; two very special sisters: Lillie Mae Jenkins and Mother Hazel P. Starks; seventeen grand-children; fifty-nine great grand-children, eight great great-grandchildren, nine great great great grand-children; eighteen step grandchildren, twenty-three step grandchildren and seven great great step grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
