On July 12, 2022, God called Ronald Melvin “Bug” Davis home and he answered the call so sweetly. He was a quiet, loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to all that he met.
On February 2, 1979, Mr. Melvin Davis and Theresa Martin welcomed their second oldest son into the world.
Ronald attended Vance and Holly Hill schools. He completed his GED at Bamberg Job Corps. While there he majored in Carpentry. He was employed at Super Sod for 23 years.
Bug was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ealie and Reather Jamison, Jack and Emma Mae Davis; one aunt, Priscilla Jamison; and two uncles, Eli Jamison and Jack Davis, Jr.
Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving mother of the home, Theresa (Frank) Martin of Orangeburg, SC; father: Melvin (Candace) Davis of Wake Forest, NC; brothers: Dr. Coray Davis (Brenda) of Raleigh, NC, Terrence (Ann) Davis of Saginaw, TX, McAuther (Pam) Davis of Orangeburg, SC, Brian (Leslie) Davis of Orangeburg, SC, Roderick (Trista) Davis of Orangeburg, SC; step sisters: Twonda Denton of Virginia, Cherly Johnson of Virginia, and Romeka Jenkins; step brothers: Frank Martin Jr. of West Virginia, Timothy Pelzer of Orangeburg, and Sahon Williams of St. George, SC; aunts: Rose Crawford of Eutawville, SC, Cynthia Crawford of Holly Hill, SC, Yvonne Jamison, Vergie Jamison, and Jackie Jamison all of Vance, SC, Sharon (Malcolm) Young of Chester, SC, Lucinda (Marlon) Cokley of St. George, SC, and Beatrie Gadson, Julia Head both of Vance, SC; four great aunts: four great uncles: seven nieces: five nephews: two best friends: Steve and Kyle; and a host of other relatives and friends.
