Ricky Benjamin

Ricky Benjamin was born on July 26, 1960, to the late James Benjamin and Laura Mae Green Benjamin in Holly Hill, SC. Ricky gained his heavenly wings and departed this life on April 5, 2025.

He was educated in the Holly Hill public school system and graduated from Holly Hill High School in 1979. Ricky spent many years living in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he worked as a truck driver for several years. Later, he returned to his hometown of Holly Hill, SC, where he became an active member of Briner Christian Church under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Mary Ann Carr.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents: James and Laura Mae Benjamin; his grandparents: Gordon and Nancy Green; his siblings: Delores Benjamin Young, Minister Mae Francis Benjamin Curry, Alfreda Benjamin Williams, Jerry Benjamin, and James D. Benjamin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving caretaker and friend: Lula Williams of the home in Holly Hill; his three brothers: Larry Benjamin of Atlanta, GA, Sidney (Fushia) Benjamin of Columbia, SC, and Melvin (Mazie) Benjamin of Eutawville, SC; one sister, Laverne Benjamin Wolf of Columbia, SC; a special nephew, Pastor Franklin (Theresa) Benjamin of Summerville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Ricky will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
