Rhys Haschert Jr, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, April 29, in Summerville SC, at the age of 35. Rhys was born on September 15, 1987, to Rhys and Caroline Haschert. Rhys attended school in Stratford, NJ, and graduated from Sterling High School class of 2006. After High School, Rhys attended college at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. While at college, Rhys found his niche in bartending at Stage Left Steak. It was there, Rhys developed the social and leadership skills to be effective in the restaurant industry. He later took an opportunity to tend bar at Flemings Steakhouse in Marlton, NJ, where he worked for several Years. Rhys cherished time spent with family, friends, and his dogs throughout his life. Since he was a child, Rhys' biggest passion was baseball and Philadelphia sports. He played baseball from the age of 6 until college, where he played as a pitcher and infielder. Some of Rhys' fondest memories came from the Philadelphia Phillies winning the 2008 World Series, the Eagles winning Superbowl LIl in 2017, and most recently, when the Phillies won the National League Pennant in 2022. Rhys is survived by his parents Rhys and Caroline Haschert of Summerville SC, his brother Jarrod Haschert of Philadelphia PA, and his sister-in-law Allison Steck Haschert of Philadelphia, PA. A gathering of Rhys' family and friends for a time of reflection and celebration of life will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 55 Warwick Road, in Stratford NJ. Final resting will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Moorestown, NJ. It is kindly requested to wear a Phillies jersey or something red to show support for Rhys' team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Rhys Haschert Jr. to the Ronald McDonald House in Camden, NJ.
