Minnie Lee "Snook" Johnson, 78, was called home on March 28, 2025. Minnie Lee Johnson transitioned peacefully in her home in Holly Hill, SC. She was born in her family home in Holly Hill, SC on November 17, 1946, to the late Frank Snider, Sr., and Emma Collier. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jacob Johnson, whom she married in 1964.
Minnie Lee Johnson graduated from Roberts High School in 1964. She worked for Holly Hill Sewing Room, where she retired. Minnie Lee Johnson was a pillar in the community of Sugar Hill. She fed, loved, and supported countless members of her neighborhood. She was the mother of three children but also a mother to her siblings, nieces, nephews, and the community.
She was preceded in death by her son, Adrian Tyrone Johnson, and grandson, Antonio Smalls; father: Frank Snider; mother: Emma Colloer Snider; sister, JoAnn R. Powell; brothers: Frank Snider, Jr., Richard Snider, James Marion Snider, and Emmit Volan Lumpkin; and niece: Sawatha Jefferson.
Minnie leaves to cherish her memories: her sons: Anthony Bernard (Tawanna) Johnson and Leonard Antonio (Angela) Johnson; 8 grandchildren: Lashawn (Destiny) Martin, Jemilya Benjamin, Amari S. Johnson, Devontae Johnson, Destiona Johnson, Jamauris Robinson, Deztion Johnson, and Mikayla Johnson; 3 great-granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons; her brother: Johnnie (Clarissa) Snider of Boston, MA; one sister: Verneader Jefferson; one uncle: Charles Wright, Sr.; two aunts: Augustine Shannon and AMry L. Snider-Mack; two sister in laws: Lucy Snider and Claudia Lumpkin; 5 nieces: Timothy (Frankie) Smalls, Tarsha Snider, Michael (Kwarn) Summerson, Regina Powell Mitchum, Michael (Passion) Davis and Tasha Snider; 4 nephews: Terry Powell, Jermaine Jefferson, Derrick Shuler, Brandon Williams; and a host of relatives and friends. Minnie Lee Johnson leaves behind two devoted nieces, Frankie Smalls and Tarsha Snider, whom she shared precious moments with.
