Percy B. Macon was born on January 14,1930 to George Macon Sr. and Gladys Johnson Macon in Holly Hill, SC. Percy was reared and was educated in the Holly Hill public schools in SC. He lived most of his adult life in New York City until he moved home five years ago. While in New York, he was employed at Con Edison Electric Company for over 50 years. Upon Percy’s return home to Holly Hill, he became a member of New Way Church House Ministries Worldwide, under the leadership of Bishop Gralin Nix Hampton. Preceded him in death: His parents: George and Gladys Macon; four sisters: Margaret Mazyck, Eartha Lee Mazyck, Alice Street and Shirley Richardson, and one brother: Minister George Macon Jr. Percy leaves to cherish his loving memories: three special nieces: Rev. Mary Ann Carr, of Holly Hill, SC, Noelle Davis of Santee, SC, and Terry Richardson of Wilmington NC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
