Lynn Evans Gibbs was born on September 24, 1935, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late William and Gladys Gibbs.
Lynn attended and graduated from Charleston County public schools. He faithfully served in the United States Army for several years. Lynn enjoyed working for the College of Charleston for many years.
He enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns like Gunsmoke since childhood.
Lynn entered into eternal rest on January 2, 2025 at the Riverside Health Rehabilitation Center.
He was preceded in death by is spouse, Louise Jones Gibbs, his siblings, Rosa Martha West, Elizabeth Lawrence , Edna Coakley, Dorothy Rivers, Bessie Mary Bennett, John Gibbs, and William Gibbs.
Lynn leaves to cherish his loving memories: his only son, Leonard Gibbs; his special nieces, Elizabeth Singleton (Kenneth), Doris Washington,( James), Donna Faye Bennett (Kenneth Wright), Annette Simmons (Nathaniel), Sharon Blake (James), And Avis Baxter (James); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
