Obituary

Mr. Lawrence Julios Spann, a son of the late Rev. Robert Spann and Ardonia Whitney Spann was born November 3, 1944 in Cross, SC. He departed this life on Thursday, December 31, 2020.   “Clutch” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC to New York. He was employed by B.F.I. for 25 years and self employed at Cross Welding until his transition.

On May 5, 1993, he was married to Julia Camacho-Spann. To this union, their blended family was blessed with one son, Henry Alberto Camacho.

Clutch enjoyed life, family, helping others; he loved his grandchildren and everyone that he met. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #351 and Jehovah AME Church.

He leaves to cherish his sweet memories: his loving and devoted wife, Julia Camacho-Spann; one son: Henry Alberta (Tiffany) Camacho; two grandchildren: Ananda Camacho of Fla. and Latisha Camacho-Perry (Lamont) of NC; one great grandchild: Harper Perry; siblings:  Pearlie President of Cross, SC, Pernell (Sammie) Glover of Summerville, SC, Robert Spann, Jr. of Bronx, NY, Ronnie Spann of Denver ,CO, and Gloria (Albert) Bailey of Orlando, Fl.; sister-in-love: Ruth Spann of Cross, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, & friends that he loved dearly.
