Mother Maybelle Elmore

Mother Maybelle Elmore was born June 10, 1938, in the Providence Community of Holly Hill to the late Prezzy and Estelle Myers.

Mother Elmore was educated through the Orangeburg County School District.  Maybelle was loved and adored by a multitude of family and friends. She loved bingo, going fishing, and hanging out with her family and friends. She especially loved her Pastor, Rev. Jimmy L. Ravenell, Sr., and her church family.

She departed this life on April 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leroy Elmore Sr.; children: Leroy Elmore, Jr., James Elmore, and Richard Elmore; and a brother: Robert Myers.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: sons: Robert Elmore, Johnnie Elmore of the home and Charlie Elmore all of Vance, SC; sisters: Ella Mack of Holly Hill, SC, Lizzie Myers Williams of Bowman, SC, Lucky Myers, Pearline Myers, and Minne Olin all of Vance, SC; nine grand children; twenty-five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; best friends: Helen Washington, Lula “Bee” Jamison, and Betty Profit; bingo partner: Renea Mae Snell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
