Obituary for Mr. Morris “Doll” Watson

Mr. Morris “Doll” Watson, of Holly Hill, South Carolina, was blessed to live to be 84 years old before peacefully entering eternal rest on June 14, 2026, at his residence in Elloree, South Carolina.

Born on September 23, 1941, in Holly Hill, South Carolina, Morris was the beloved son of the late Walter Watson and Anna Ashby Watson. He was educated in the Holly Hill School System and spent his life as a devoted family man, respected worker, and faithful friend. Known for his warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved, Morris left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.

Morris was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He worked for Banks Construction Company, where he assisted with road paving, and later worked at the Holly Hill Training Center, where he helped train horses. His strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment earned the respect and admiration of his coworkers and community.

Outside of work, Morris found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Whether sharing a meal, telling stories, or offering words of wisdom, he brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around him. His kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

Morris was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mattie Mae Bryant Watson; his parents, Walter Watson and Anna Ashby Watson; his brothers, Henry Watson, Abraham Watson, Walter Watson and Willie Watson; his sisters Anna Lee Watson and Hattie Middleton Watson and his grandchildren, Emerald Bell and Kedaric Washington.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving daughters, Beverly Walker,  Betty (Arnold) Bell, and Katina Davis; his brothers, James (Linda) Watson, Mervin Watson, his brother in law George (Jackie) Bryant; hisSister in laws Ruthie Mae Watson, Babbara Watson, and Helen Elmore; and his grandchildren, Antquion Watson, Latoria Watson, Latonya Watson, Emmanuel Walker, Shiquinn Bell, Artavia Bell, Thomas Bell, Desmond Bell, Tramall Bell, Brittany Davis, Kendall Washington, Jasmine Davis, Akeem Watson, Alaysia Watson, Shiquion Watson, Tyrone Davis, and Zaniyah Green.

He also leaves behind 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish the love, wisdom, and memories he shared throughout his life.

Although Morris has departed from this earthly life, his legacy of hard work, devotion to family, compassion for others, and love for the outdoors will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and the importance of family, and his memory will be cherished for generations to come.
