On January 19, 1996 in Charleston, SC, Meredith Renae Cole and Trenton Teja White welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Mikayla Deashaj' White.
Mikayla previously attended Stratford High School and worked briefly at Music in Motion and Walmart in Goose Creek, SC. She had a joyful smile and an unforgettable personality. Mikayla never met a stranger that she couldn’t befriend and within a short period become best of friends. She loved people, animals, basketball, cheerleading, dancing and music; but her greatest passion was her love for Jesus Christ. Mikayla enjoyed writing in her journals about her family and to her God. She also enjoyed spending precious time with her family whom she loved with everything in her. Mikayla’s final hours were with her bible at her side and wearing a cross pendant necklace (her mom had given her).
On January 15, 2019, Mikayla went home to be with the Lord and was met by a host of angels at the gates of Heaven along with her grandparents: Frank and Betty Cole; Marion and Patsy Harvey; Elijah Isaiah White, Jr.; and great-grandfather: Deacon John C. Jenkins Sr.
Mikayla is survived by her mother: Meredith of Goose Creek, SC; her father: Teja of San Marcos, CA; one brother: Frank Stinchcomb; three sisters: Deiondra Trenneyce, Caliyana Tara Mirakle, and Elani Corazon Takiyah White; grandparents: Frank H. Cole III of Goose Creek, SC, Michelle (Lee) Troupe of California, Rose V. (James) Pressley of South Carolina; and great-grandmother Lillie Mae Jenkins; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
