Maurice Davis

Maurice "Roc" Davis was born May 27th, 1978 to James Allen and Everett Ann Davis. On Monday, November 13, 2023 God called him home from labor to reward.

Maurice graduated from Holly Hill Roberts High School in 1996; he played football and participated in other activities while in high school. He furthered his education at South Carolina State University.

He loved and befriended many, he loved his family dearly, he never met a stranger that he did not show respect, he was always offering advice to his loved one and friends and would give the shirt off his back. He will always be remembered as the gentle giant.

Maurice was a volunteer with Holly Hill Hawks Youth Sports as the announcer, score keeper and was affectionately known as the "Snack Man."

Maurice worked in Law Enforcement until his health failed him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Isaiah Davis; Uncles, Jerry Mack, Jerome Mack, Edward Davis and Woodraw Davis, Jr.; Aunts, Shelia Mack, Catherine Lee and Beluah White; and a niece, Meaghan Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his parents, James Allen (Rock) and Everett Ann (La) Davis; his son, Taylor Davis and his daughter, Truss Benjamin both of Bossier City, Louisiana; three brothers, Ronnie (Vernetta) Mack and Michael (Demitria) Davis of Columbia, SC, Dayshawn (Christina) Davis of Leesville, SC; special aunt also known as his 2nd Mom, Diann Mack of Vance, SC; three Aunts, Elizabeth Mack of Columbia, SC, Carolyn Mack of Atlanta, GA and Veola (Adam) Williams of Holly Hill, SC; five uncles, Stova Lee (Deloris) Davis of Holly Hill, SC, Jefferson (Tammy) Davis of Upper Marlboro, MD, Carlton (O'Linda) Mack of Hopkins, SC, Charlie (Carolyn) Davis of Albany, GA and Nathaniel Mack  of Vance, SC; nieces & nephews: Ciara Mack, Makacia Davis, Ronnie (Deuce) Mack, Michael Jon Davis, Elloit Davis, Zoe Davis, Kori Johnson, a special friend, Laqueshia Britt; and a host of cousins and friends.
