On the morning of February 28, 2021, a messenger from heaven arrived at 1148 Toney Bay Road with a message for Mary Frances. The messenger said, " You are being promoted and I came to escort you to your new job." So, Mother Richardson mounted up wings like an eagle and flew away. Mother Mary Frances Lambright- Richardson, the daughter of the late William " Son" Johnson and the late Eliza Robinson White was born August 19,1939 in Holly Hill, South Carolina.
Mother Richardson grew up in the community known as Unity, attended the public school of Holly Hill and was a member of Unity A.M.E. Church. On September 18,1956, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Capers Lambright and to this union three children were born. One son preceded her in death, Darrin Lambright. The family migrated to New York in search for a better life.
While in New York Mother Richardson was a parent coordinator for over 25 years. She worked at PS 76, PS 144, and PS 180. She had a great love for her students and co-workers. After retiring in February 2007, she decided to move back to Holly Hill, SC. On July 28, 2007 she met and married Willie Lee Richardson. Some of her favorite pastime activities included holding parenting class, making crafts, and putting a smile on every child's face.
Mother Richardson was a member of Southern Baptist Church in New York, NY for about 10 years before moving her membership to Canaan Land Apostolic Church where she receive the precious gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Bishop Gethers.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her husband of the home Willie Lee Richardson; two sons: Benjamin (Felicita) Lambright and Ricky Lambright; stepchildren: Sabrina Hicks, Dennis Hicks, Frances Hicks, George Hicks, Nathaniel Hicks, Marion Hicks and Roosevelt Hicks: two grandchildren: Ricky Jessie Lambright and Franklin Alexandria Contreras; five great-grandchildren; three siblings; Harris (Sandra) Robinson, Betty Ann Miller, and Donna Lambright; cousins reared in the house as siblings; Elizabeth (John) Palmer and John Johnson, sisters-in-law, Beneva Lambright, Ida K. Bennett, Catherine Elmore, Allean Cokely and Bertha Mae Robinson; one aunt; Patricia Robinson; three loving god-children; Su'Tia Walker, Zamiria Hilliard and Michael Davis; special cousins; Barbara Watson and Ricky Olin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Mother Richardson was also preceded in death by one brother, Leroy White and a great-grandson.
