Mary B. Freeman

Ms. Mary Bess Freeman daughter of the late Whittaker Grant and Celle Asbury White was born on December 26, 1936 in Holly Hill, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 17, 2020 following a sudden heart attack

Mary grew up in the small town of Holly Hill and attended the public schools there. She graduated from Roberts High School. After graduation she moved to New York where she was employed with The Alexander Office Building for 25 years. She spent her later years working for OCAB as a caretaker.

Mary relocated to Miami where she met and married the late Willman Howard Freeman.

Mary is proceeded in death by two children; Mary Grant-Simmons and Ricky Gants; her siblings Shelley Todd, Elizabeth Steward, Lorenzo White, and Terry White.

Mary leaves to cherish her fond memories: a daughter; Victoria Freeman; a son Craig Freeman; a sister, Thelma Lee White; a brother Eddie Grant; her grandchildren; Kisha Williams, Jamal Gant, Dawan Simmons, Angelica Freeman, Nina Freeland, Don Capers, Ray Capers, Charles Freeman, Monique Freeman, and Joshua Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
