Marie Keitt Bradley, also affectionately known as " Ree", was born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, on December 20, 1949, to the late Lula Mae Keitt and Douglas Keitt, Sr. On September 11, 2025, God answered her prayers as she peacefully departed this earthly life to reunite with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Marie's parents, her husband Joe Allen Bradley, and brother, Billy N. Keitt, preceded her in transition.
Raised in the church, at an early age, Marie accepted Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined Mt. Olive AME Church. Educated in the public school system of Holly Hill, Marie embarked on a career as a home health care worker. In addition to being a caregiver in her personal life. Although she had no biological children of her own, Marie helped raise 12 nieces and nephews and assisted in the rearing of their children.
To keep her legacy alive, Marie leaves behind to cherish her memories: four devoted and loving sisters: Berdie Mosley of Vance, SC, Reverend Linda K. Sumter of Vance, SC, Mary Ann Keitt of Santee, SC; one brother, Douglas Keitt Jr., of Orangeburg, SC; four sister- in law, Marie Jackson of Jersey City, NJ, Betty M. Bailey of Maryland, Margaret A. Bradley of Holly Hill, SC, and Annie Lou (Jacob) Sanders of Cross, SC; three brothers- in law, Harry Sumter, Sr. of Edgefield, SC, Ronald Bradley of Maryland, and Vernon William of Holly Hill, SC., a host of nieces and nephews who immensely loved " Aunt Ree", other extended family, friends, and loved ones.
