Lois Jean Roberts

Jeannie was born in Seattle, Washington on November 23, 1952 to Evylyn Shokes and Paul Helton.  She later had three children and married the love of her life, Albert Roberts who proceeded her in death in June 2007. 

Though life wasn't always kind to her, that never stopped her from shining her beautiful light into the world and onto others. She truly lived her life according to Ephesians 4:32- “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ”.

She gave all of herself to those she loved and knew never expecting or accepting anything in return. She found joy in serving and giving to others in anyway she could. Joy she did indeed bring; from baking, gardening with her grandchildren, cooking Lumpia, baking goodies for her neighbors and fellow dialysis receivers, to chatting for hours with her children and grandchildren; it was done with love and enthusiasm.

You will never find a more giving and loving mother, sister, or grandmother; one could not have asked for more. Jeannie was beloved by all three of her children and all of her grandchildren.

Jeannie passed suddenly on Saturday evening, December 28, 2019.  She was with loving family just hours before. She will be greatly missed by her love ones and friends. We celebrate that she is now whole, well, and rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus, her beloved husband Albo, her parents and nephew.

Her loving memories will be cherished by her three children: Angela D. Scott (Kermit), North Pole, AK; Luisa M. Martinez, Goose Creek, SC and Mario L. Martinez, Lexington, SC; her brother: Richard T. Helton (Cory), Hartsville, WV; her sisters: Paula L. Fowler (Steve), Kennesaw, GA; Kathryn L. Carroll (Terry) Dorchester, SC; Annette M. Hampton (Danny), Fredericksburg, VA; RoseAnne Santiago (Eddie) Jacksonville, Fl; her grandchildren: Chadelle (Deon), Kyrie, Torres, Malik, Kirstina, Destiny, Morgan, Taylor and Kiersten; four great-grandchildren: Kah'Mari, M'Yatt, Jaiden and Aniyah; several nieces, nephews, and her sweet fury support pal, "Max".
