Leroy White

Mr. Leroy White, was the eldest child of Abraham and Bessie White born on September 17, 1935. On Sunday, February 13, 2022, he answered the call of God and went home to take his rest.

After graduating from high school, Mr. White joined the United States Army and was Honorably Discharge after serving his time. He later relocated to New York and retired from Transit Authority after 26 years.  After retiring, he later relocated back to South Carolina and joined Lovely Hill Baptist Church in Holly Hill were he served for many years.

He was later united in Holy Matrimony to Ola Mae Witherspoon for over 60 years and to this beautiful union three children were born.

Leroy, loved fishing and working in the garden. His favorite teams were the Raiders and Lakers.  His favorite artists and songs were BB King (Down Home Blues) and Otis Redding (Sitting on the Dock of the Bay)!

He was preceded in death by two of his precious children: a son;  James Witherspoon and a daughter; Deborah White.

Leroy leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted and loving wife: Ola Mae White; one daughter: Bessie White, of Brooklyn NY; one sister-in-law: Annie Ottley of Goose Creek; two brothers: Berry White (Joann) of Queens, NY and Arthur White (Wanda) of Stone Mountain, GA; three grandchildren: ten great-grandchildren; a special cousin: Walter Watts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
