Lena Pearl Keitt

Lena Pearl Keitt was born on August 17, 1945 to the Late Tom and Pearl Bond in Tennessee and departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Lena grew up and attended school in Alamo, Tennessee and graduated from Central High School in 1964. After High school she moved to New York to begin her Nursing Career, while in New York she met and married the love of her life the Late Edward Neal Keitt and together they moved to South Carolina.

She joined Rock Hill AME Church and was a member on the Stewardess Board, Angelic Gospel Choir, Lay Organization and WMS until her health began to fail. She was a Former Class Leader and Usher.

She also was a member of the Women of Grace Senior Organization and worked at Rock Hill Daycare for over 30 years.

Lena enjoyed traveling, children and her church. She had a smile that could brighten up any room. To know her was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Keitt, son: Lee Keitt,parents: Tom & Pearl Bond, brothers: Thomas Bond Jr, James Bond andHubert Bond. Sisters: Barbara Bond, Cynthia Turner, Pamela Bond,Margaret Boney and Betty Whiteside, Sister-in-law, Ella Mae Keitt

She leaves to cherish behind her loving children: Derrick (Rene) Bond of Memphis, TN, Brian and Sonja Keitt of the home, Shamekia (Bernard)Hawkins of Lexington, SC, Nine Grandchildren: Sunjeria Keitt, Tyquan Sumpter, Ti’Naysia Sumpter, Riley Hawkins, Aryonna Hawkins, Trinity Keitt, Treshawn Keitt, Derrius Bond, Day Sinclair, Two Great Grands: Ashton Profit and Alijah Profit. Brother Bobby (Johnnie) Bonds of Sacramento, CA; Sisters: Mary (Odell) Pledge of Bells, TN, Beverly Bond of Jackson, TN, Debbie Peeler of Alamo, TN Sandra (Larry) Turner of Jackson, TN Janet (Leroy)Johnson of Alamo, TN Brother-in-law George Keitt of Santee, SC Sister-in-law Geraldine Void of Charlotte, NC Two Special Nieces Sheila Keitt Singleton and Beatrice Keitt, Special Friend, Jacob Myers a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
