Kyara Lashae Bruton

Our beloved Kyara graced us with her presence in the early hours of October 12, 2000 and has brought smiles to our hearts ever since. She was born in Charleston, SC to Anthony Bruton and Sonya Reynolds-Dean. "Keke" as she was affectionately known, was such a sweet girl who grew into a loving and caring young woman. Kyara marched to the beat of her own drum from the start and continued to do so until she took her eternal rest on June 14, 2023.

Although she was taken from us after such a short time here on Earth, she left her mark on her loved ones. One thing we know about our dear Keke is that she did not hesitate when it came to expressing her thoughts and feelings. She professed her love in various ways, but you would know that she cared. In most recent years Kyara had expressed how dearly she loved and missed her grandma, Elizabeth Pringle (deceased). Although these times are difficult and full of sorrow, we can rest easy knowing that Elizabeth "Sista" Pringle and Kyara "Keke" Bruton are peacefully resting together until we see them again as professed in John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life."

Kyara made others smile through her dances and videos as our new family Paparazzi and videographer. She was guaranteed to catch you in the act on video at some point or another. She dreamed of joining her aunt, Yolanda, in the salon learning to become a natural hair stylist. She was very inquisitive and did not hesitate to ask "But mama, why?" about any and everything she was interested in or didn't understand. She was this way throughout school until graduating from Ashley Ridge High School in 2019.

Kyara was preceded in death by her loving grandparents: Mr. Johnny Fletcher, Mr. Leon Pringle, Mrs. Elizabeth "Sister" Pringle and her uncle, Kerry Fletcher. 

Keke will forever live on in the hearts and thoughts of her surviving family and friends: 

Kyara is survived by her loving mother, Sonya Reynolds-Dean (Brian Dean) and her father Anthony Bruton, (Mary Liz Burton).

Siblings: Kosheka Wright, Reginald Christie, Deneishya Corbett (Melvin Corbett), Richard Christie (Dana Corbett), Anthony Bruton Jr., Temeka Bruton and step-sister Querida Dean.

Aunts: Yolanda Reynolds, Natalie Reynolds-Goodwine (Dwayne Goodwine), Theresa Bruton, Debra Fletcher, and Michelle Mosley.

Uncles: PT Pringle (Pam Pringle), Raymond Bruton, John Fletcher, and Kenny Fletcher.

Our jovial Keke will also be dearly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
