Kenvick Lamont "Big Daddy" White was born on February 20, 1973, to the late Richard and Rosa Bell White in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
A Time to Die
Lamont transitioned to his heavenly home on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Prisma Health of Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina at 1:07 am.
Kenvick was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg Consolidated School District 3, and was a 1984 graduated of Holly Hill Roberts High School. At an early age he joined the St. James Baptist Church and he also attended Rock Hill AME Church.
On August 5, 1995, he married the former Christel Wanda Hilliard of Vance, South Carolina.
Kenvick, also known as "Big Daddy," "Chubb Rock," or Lamont was a truck driver who served many companies. He was employed with Swaby, Inc of Lugoff, South Carolina until his demise.
Lamont had a rue love for driving big rigs, being the grill master but most importantly for loving and caring for his family and children, even though most times he talked junk to them. He was also a lifelong diehard fan of the New England Patriots.
Those left to cherish his fond memories are his wife, Christel W. White; three sons, O'Dontezi Grant of Charleston, S.C., and Amonta and Kenvick White both of Orangeburg, SC; two daughters, Natavia and Kewanda White both of Orangeburg, S.C.; two sisters, Rudean (Stanley) White Dash of Eutawville, S.C., and Chekettia (Marlon) Jackson of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Harold (Lisa) White of Charlotte, N.C.; Father and Mother-in-law, Ben and Mary Hilliard, III; God Mother, Ella Sandy Washington; four children raised as his own, Starkema Gaines, Matthew Gaines, Ava Hilliard, and Jayden Pickney and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
