Jonathan "Mark" Snell

Mr. Jonathan “Mark” Snell  affectionally known as Mark, aka “ Jumpin Joe” was born on May 25, 1963 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Leroy Snell and Catherine Mack Snell, of Vance, South Carolina.

Mark grew up in the Vance and Holly Hill community and was a 1982 graduate of Holly Hill Roberts High School where he was school bus driver and a baseball player. He was employed with Southern Lumber for several years. He proceeded to do a number of interesting things in his lifetime, but is well known in the town of Holly Hill for helping at the tire shops. At an early age, Mark became a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Revered Walter Hill. Mark love spending time with his family and at every gathering, he was the life of the party.

Mark love to go fishing, tell jokes, and loved to dance. Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, Henry and Leroy Snell, and a sister, Angerine Ashby.

Mark leaves to cherish his sweet memories his four sisters, Jannie (Sammie) Gaillard, of Holly Hill, S.C., Lottie Mae Snell, of Santee, SC., Flossie Mack and Mary Snell, Vance, SC, six brothers, Elder Benjamin(Shirley) Snell, Thomas (Alicia) Snell, and Sammie (Alfair) Snell, Larry Anderson, Michael Press, and Johnnie Lee Anderson, all of Holly Hill, SC, one aunt Daisy Smalls, of Holly Hill, SC, his best friend (dog) Jo, and a host of nieces, nephews, four nieces Melody Mack, Cahishe Snell, Andrea Snell, and Khayron Snell and five nephews Anthony Snell, Kelton Snell, Malcolm Snell, Brent Snell, and Minister Devante Snell all reared in the home, and a host of cousins, and friends .
