Johnathan Dontae Gibbs Sr., was born on March 14, 1990 om Eutawville, South Carolina to Comelitta Gibbs and Richard Johnson. He was affectionately known as "Gibbo."
Johnathan received his formal education from the public school system of Orangeburg County. He later attended South Florence where he graduated from high school earning his diploma.
Johnathan was engaged to Antinette Issac. From this union they were blessed with a son, Johnathan Jr. He was a loving and devoted father who devoted his life to his family. Johnathan was a provider and a very hard-worker. In life, what ever he set his mind to do, he did it with his whole heart. His energetic personality drew people close to him. Some of his most memorable moments was spent with his dear friends. Johnathan was a person who was full of life, a visionary, always seeking an opportunity for growth. He wanted nothing more than to become the best version of himself. He was inspired to start his own business called "Brother of the South, LLC."
On Tuesday, November 16, 2020; Johnathan passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Johnathan leaves to cherish his fond memories; his fiance, Antinette Issac; his two sons: Johnathan Gibbs, Jr. and Kayson Gibbs; his parents: Comelitta Gibbs and Richard Johnson of Eutawville, SC; two sisters: a twin sister, Janae Gibbs of Eutawville, SC and Danielle Pinckney of Cross, SC; two brothers: Deandre Gibbs of Eutawville, SC and Malik West of Santee, SC; his grandmothers: Irene L. Gibbs and Lois Johnson both of Eutawville, SC; a close cousin, Jordan Johnson; best friends: Nicholas Sinkler, Jamal Brunson, Johnny Taste, Keyson Council and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
