Mr. Jimmy L. Macon, Sr. was born January 4, 1936 in Orangeburg County to the late Rosa Lee Williams and the Late Diddy Macon. he was educated in Orangeburg County Schools. Jimmy Macon worked in construction for many years in Columbia, SC.
He was connected at an early age with Briner Christian Church in Holly Hill, South Carolina. Later he became a member of Briner Christian Church.
He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Eva Mae Brown-Macon.
He leaves to cherish his memories, four sons, Jimmy L. Macon Jr., (Orangeburg, SC), Sammie L. Macon, Jr. (Holly Hill, SC), James E. Benjamin (Orangeburg, SC), Fredrick Benjamin (Greenville, SC), two daughters, Jacklyn Benjamin (Ladson, SC), the late Beverly Benjamin (Columbia, SC). His bonus children, Shirley Brown (Orangeburg, SC), Paul Brown (Goose Creek, SC), Minnie Eaddy (Eutawville, SC), Angelina Doctor (Cross, SC) , Deidra Jordan (Boston, MA), Geraldine McAllister (Boston, MA), Angela Sellers ( Santee, SC) and Dethra Sumpter (Santee, SC); three sisters, Ella Diggins (Holly Hill, SC), Mary Mack (Holly Hill, SC), Patricia (Benjamin) Gillard (Cross, SC); one brother, Jacob Williams Jr. (Holly Hill, SC). A special friend, Mary Ann Shannon (Holly Hill, SC) and a special niece, Michelle Taylor (St. George, SC) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
