Jerome Brown

Hazel Jerome Benjamin Brown, son of the late Catherine Kathlene Gilliard Brown and Hazel Brown, was born on August 16, 1955. he departed this life on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Orangeburg County at Regional Medical Center of South Carolina.

Hazel grew up in the town of Holly Hill where he received his education at Holly Hill Roberts High School. He met and married, Sandra Gene Johnson Brown, who preceded him in death on June 1, 2001. Hazel's life consisted of being a loving father, and a Concrete Finisher for over 25 years at Green's Construction. He was specially known for hunting squirrels and sitting at Bustta's. He played and loved baseball and played for a team called, "The Sugar Hill Tigers."

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Alice Wright; one sister-in-law. Dorothy Vereen; and two brothers-in-law, Willie J. Johnson and William Johnson.

Jerome leaves behind to cherish his sweet memories; his daughters, Pamela Johnson, Ruby (Jermaine) Wallace, and Veronica (Todd) Bryant; three sons, Daniel Little, Roberto and Tremaine Brown of Holy Hill, SC; a brother, Jacob "JB" Clayton Brown of Holly Hill, SC; one step brother; James marion Guest of Holly Hill, SC, two sisters-in-law; Mrs. Reatha Mae Johnson-Summerson and Mrs. Carolyn Bellamy of Longs, SC; four brothers-in-law; Mr. Albert Johnson, Jr., Mr. Curtis Johnson both of Loris, SC, Mr. Wilbert Johnson of Hapeville, GA, and Mr. Michael Johnson Florida; five unlces, three aunts, thirty-one grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, first cousins, and other relatives, and friends.
