Jell Jamison entered eternal life on June 21, 2020 at Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, SC. He was born on June 4, 1937 in Eutawville, South Carolina to the late Rena King. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Leila Mae Jamison. To this union, eight children were born. Three of his sons, Scott, John, and Jerry preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Willie and Leon.
Jell moved to Newark, NJ for a period of time where he did road construction for many years before relocating back to Eutawville, S.C.
He was loving, caring, and a friendly person who always had a smile on his face. He loved fishing with his boys and in is later years, he enjoyed just sitting on the porch. He was a passionate member of the Jehovah Witness and enjoyed fellowshipping at The Kingdom Hall before his health declined.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories two sons: Allen Jamison of Newark, NJ and David (Amanda) Jamison of High Point, NC; Four daughters: Betty Jamison, Catherine (Raymond) Covington, Linda Jamison, and Patricia Jenkins all of New Jersey; Siblings: Robert (Evelyn) King, Jr. and Elizabeth Johnson of Newark, NJ; 36 grandchildren; a host of great-grands, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.
