James Pressley affectionately known as Peenutt was born December 28,
1953, he was the son of Ernestine Gadsden and the late Floyd Pressley.
James grew up in Moncks Corner, SC, and was educated in the public
schools of Berkeley County. He graduated in the BHS Class of 1973.
After high school, James had a desire to serve his country, he served in
the United States Army He later attended Trident Technical College.
James was a kind and lovable person to those who truly knew him. He
was a huge Dallas Cowboys and New York Knicks fan. James loved
cooking, gardening, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Angela Barbary, Frances AnnHall, Carolyn Young; brothers: Gregory Doiley, Sheldon Palmer; and Granddaughter: Mikayla White. James was united in marriage to Rose Pressley, He was the father of eight children but most of all a faithful servant in his journey with the Lord.

Lauderdale, Fl; Christal Cole (Larry) of Atlanta, GA and Vonda Legree (Richard)of Columbia, SC; four brothers: Louis Doiley (Yvonne) of Moncks Corner, SC; Michael Pressley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Conroy Palmer (Aquila) of Moncks Corner, SC and Terrell Palmer (Mylisha) of North Charleston, SC; his mother-in-law: Lillie Mae Jenkins; three brothers-in-law: Christopher Jenkins (Shonda) of Summerville, SC; John Jenkins (Ramona) of Moncks Corner, SC and Alonza Jenkins of Moncks Corner, SC; three sisters-in-law: Ejurie Brown (Jacob) of Moncks Corner, SC; Mary Smith (Edward) of Moncks Corner, SC and Verda Graham (Melvin) of Goose Creek, SC; fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
