Harry Lee Mack, Sr., affectionately known as “Scoop”, was born on May 5, 1958, in Holly Hill, SC, to the late Samuel Mack, Sr., and Elouise Smalls Mack. He attended the public schools of Holly Hill and was known for his kind heart, strong spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
Harry gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Brooks Temple in Holly Hill, SC. His faith remained an important part of his life.
“Scoop” was preceded in death by his loving parents, his brother William Mack, and his namesake son, Harry Lee Mack, Jr.
Harry leaves three devoted children to cherish his sweet memories: Dwan (Kaity) Mack of Springfield, GA, CaTia Mack of Dalzell, SC, and Troyce D. (Stephanie) Mack, Sr. of Sumter, SC; his legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, whom he deeply loved. He is also survived by his seven siblings: Samuel (Barbara Ann) Mack, Helen (Will T) Gilliard, Shirley (Benjamin) Snell, Evelyn (James) Alston, Ervin Mack, and Barbara Ann (Felix) Benjamin, all of Holly Hill, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Special Uncle Olin “Boa” Asbury. Aunt Helen Washington Harry’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory and the impact of his life will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
