Grayland Pierre Holmes

Grayland Pierre Holmes was born September 17, 1958 in Norfolk, VA, to the late Jesse Holmes and Lillie Mae (Turner) Holmes. 

Grayland received his early education at Cross Elementary in Cross, South Carolina and later graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA.

He attended Ft. Washington Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Fort Washington, Maryland, under the leadership of Rev. Joseph W. Clark, Pastor.

Grayland, was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Viola Holmes Richardson, Margaret Kennedy, and Lena Williams; two brothers: Julian Holmes and Walter Granger.

He leaves to cherish his sweet memories, his brother: Elbert Lee Granger of Norfolk, VA; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.
