Mr. George Asbury eternal life ended Tuesday, June 07, 2022. He was born November 06, 1947 in Vance SC. He was the second of five children born to the late Mr. Hutto (Mymie Void) Asbury.
He was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County. At an early age he connected himself with Rock Hill AME Church of Vance, SC, under the leadership of the late Rev. Isiah Pringle, where to he served as a Trustee.
He was well loved by all who knew him. George was employed by Orangeburg School District Three for 32 years and held the position as an Electrical Teacher. He also, specialized in Electrical and Carpenter work all over the County, in many homes and businesses. George also served for many years on Orangeburg County Council seat District 1. In November 2021, he was elected as a chairperson for the local Vance Watershed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Hutto (Mymie Void) Asbury, one brother Mr. Allen Asbury.

Those left to cherish his memories his wife of the home: Ms. Kittie Asbury of fifty-five years; from this union three children were born: Theresa E. (Ron) Hines; Stone Mountain, Ga., LaTonya Asbury, Vance SC, and one son Alberto D. (Fardentcyia) Asbury of Orangeburg, SC.; two granddaughters: Kristen Hines and Careoniyah Johnson; three grandsons: D’Andre Asbury, Daniel Asbury and Antonio Gooden; two sisters: Jeanette White, Vance, SC and Gloria Jean Capers, Santee SC; one brother: Harvey (Lillian) Asbury, Vance SC; sisters- in-law: Mrs. Sussanah Richburg and Mrs. Ethel (James) Rowell; brothers-in-law: Mr. Charles Gillard, Mr. Leroy (Alma) Gillard, Mr. Joseph (Patricia) Gilliard, Ms. Dorothy Gillard, Mr. Jerome (Carolyn) Gillard, and Mr. George (Margaret) Middleton; a host of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
