Florence “Boosie Gal” Lambright Collier, daughter of the late Jessie and Anna Lambright, was born November 17, 1936 in Holly Hill, SC. She attended the public schools of Holly, SC and furthered her education in nursing.
At an early age she became a member of Greater Unity AME Church and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.
She was married for well over 40 years to Willie D. Collier. Boosie Gal, was a kind-hearted straight forward person, who was respected by so many and would give you her last. She loved her baby, which is her dog named “Trey”. Boosie Gal enjoyed life to the fullest! She loved going fishing, cooking and shopping. Florence, loved the Lord and was known for looking sharp. Boosie Gal, appreciated the finer things in life! She loved her family and would have big gatherings and cookouts.
Florence was preceded in death by her son: Anthony Collier; daughters: Darnelle and Jacqueline Collier; grandson: James Elmore, Jr.; brothers: Ed Lambright, Prulow Lambright, Harry Lambright, Roosevelt Lambright, and Capers Lambright; sisters: Margaret Williams and Anna Robinson.
Boosie Gal, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021 at Roper St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories: her children: Willie (Teresa) Collier of Santee, Elizabeth Collier of Santee, Sharon (Raymond) Mack of Eutawville, Ambrose (Tiffany) Hall of Atlanta, and Eufrosnic Roan of Santee; sisters: Ida Kay Bennett and Catherine Elmore of Holly Hill; sisters-in-love: Beneva Lambright and Mary Francis Lambright; eighteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren; honorary daughter: Erica Smith; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and special friends.
