The Late Ethel Estelle Collier fondly known to family and friends as “Tang” peacefully passed from this life the morning of October 26, 2021, after a gradual decline in health. She departed surrounded by her loving family in her Ridgeville, SC home.
Ethel was born in Holly Hill, SC to the late Tony Mack Sr. and Victoria Taste Mack on February 15, 1936. She was the sister of the late James “Babe” (Victoria) Mack of Holly Hill, SC, Ella Mae (Leroy) Watson, of Cross, SC, Tony (Mary) Mack of Columbia, SC, and George (Lilian) Mack of Cross, SC; her surviving siblings: Queenie (Ruben) Washington of Fair Bluff, NC and David (Marcella) Mack, Sr. of Cross, SC.
September 23, 1962, Ethel joined together in holy matrimony to the late Melvin Collier who proceeded her in death along with her only son: Irvin Mack, grandson: Joshua Emmanuel Collier; father-in-law: Franklin Collier; sisters-in-law: Virginia Wilson, Ruth Collier & Mary Lee Bowman; brothers-in- law: Arthur Collier & Frank Collier Jr.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: four children, Melvinia (Phillip) Curry, Rosa Mae Collier both of Ridgeville, SC, Linda (James) Davis and Catherine (Jermaine) Spann both of Summerville, SC; eight grand children: Laura (Richard) Ravenell, Estelle Collier, Shamorl (Mary) Curry, Markita Curry, Ramel Davis, Mahalia Davis, Jaquan (Karlee) Curry, and Shoundel Davis; eight great-grandchildren: Camron Grant, Daevyon Ladson, Shawntiyona Durant, Marion Lloyd, Ciara Collier, Rhianna Collier, Shamal Curry and Kamaree Curry; two great-great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Ladson and Daevyon Ladson Jr.; sisters-in-laws: Patsy Graham, Sally Ann (Louis) Collier, and Helen Mack; brother-in-laws: Henry (Mary Ann) Collier, Sammie (Mary Jane) Collier, John Lee (Frannie Mae) Collier, and Nathan Collier; a life long friend: Maggie Mae Curry; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends that will truly miss her.
