Esther Felita Milligan-Crawford

Esther Felita Milligan Crawford, 62, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on November 28th, 2023.

Felita, born on March 3rd, 1961 to Arthur S. Milligan Sr. and Mildred J. Milligan in Columbia, SC, was a bundle of joy from the very beginning. After graduating from high school in 1979, Felita went on to pursue a degree in Nursing at NC A&T in Greensboro, NC.

After graduating from NC A&T, Felita also attended Mortuary school where she became a licensed embalmer and funeral director. Still wanting to try something different Felita became employed by the United States Postal Service where she would later retire.

Felita had 2 children: Johna Felita Crawford and John Ellis Crawford lll with former spouse, John Ellis Crawford Jr. Felita loved decorating for parties or any event as well as arts and crafts but being a mother and granny was one of the most important parts of Felita’s life, a role that gave her much pride. She was an excellent mom and granny, supportive, kind, hilarious, and witty and we will all miss her dearly.

Felita was predeceased by father, Arthur S. Milligan Sr. and mother, Mildred J. Milligan.

She is survived by her children: Johna Crawford-Walker(Travis) and Ellis Crawford (Dateka). Grandchildren: Bryson Crawford, Jhase and Jeremiah Walker. Siblings: Arthur S. Milligan Jr.(Vanessa) and Daryl Milligan (Janet). Aunts: Carolyn Ingram and Ruth Milligan. Nieces and Nephews: Tyrone Milligan (Kortland,Indya,Remi), Stevie Milligan, Stacee Leslie (Tellis, Ashlyn,TJ,Aubree), Keith Rush, Jakayla Mack, Rodney Crawford, Dontriea Crawford, and Donnie Crawford Jr. She was also survived by a host of cousins and friends.
