Eric President

Eric President, son of the late Gertine Washington, was born on August 28th, 1965 in Charleston, South Carolina. Eric fought through his medical challenges bravely but his battle ended and he departed this life at Agape Hospice Center of Summerville on March 25, 2022.

Eric grew up in the home of his grandparents, Reverend Samuel C. President and Essie Bell President. Both preceded him in death. Eric attended Cross High School and was a proud member of the graduating Class of 1983.

In the 1987 Eric fathered on son, Christopher G. Webb who currently resides in North Carolina. He has tow grandchildren, Kavien Webb and Ariyeh Spencer. Eric was joind in Holy Matrimony to Mona Chricoe on September 3, 2014. Their union blended their family and Eric gained two daughters LaResa Major and Bre'ana Padgett.

It wasn't until adulthood that Eric's passion for mechanical and automotive technology developed. Eric loved to spend hours under the hood and take something that looked like a wreck and make it into a masterpiece. His favorite past time was working on his 1972 Chevy Nova SS. Even though Eric was a master at bending metal, he was gentle giant when it came to children. He spent much of his time helping to raise his little cousins Raequan, Dakarai and Xhi'Niyah who lived next door and in return, they often helped take care of him when he wasn't feeling well. In addition, Eric also loved his Godson, Otis and other children around him. His soft smile and soft eyes softened his tall stature.

Those who will cherish his memories are; his wife, Mona C. President, his son, Christopher G. Webb, his daughters LaReesa Major, Bre'ana Padget (Ezekiel), his grandchildren, Kevien Webb and Ariyeh Spencer, Kyle Wade and Ezekiel Padgett Jr., his sister, Virginia R. President, his nephew, Najee Barnes, Godson Otis (Janell) Wigfall, very special cousins and caretakers, Althea President , Raequon President, Darkarai President , Xhi'Niyah Pinckney, a very special aunt Lila Mae President, his uncles, Kenneth President , Richard Ravenell, Thomas (Shelia) Grant, his aunts Ella Cooper, Roberta (D.D.) Watson, a special friend, Willie Pinckney and a host of other relatives and friends.
