Elizabeth "Rena/ Liz" Bellinger, was the daughter of the late William, and Bertha Lee Bellinger was born on October 8, 1940. She was raised in a close-knit community and received her education in Orangeburg County, graduating from Roberts Highschool in Holly Hill. Elizabeth was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of Briner Christian Church in Holly Hill. Her spiritual foundation guided her throughout her life and remained a source of strength and comfort to her and those around her. Elizabeth will be remembered not only for her love and strength, but also for the simple joys that brought her peace. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, doing her crossword puzzles, reading her scriptures, and most especially cooking for her grandchildren which brought her great joy and made lasting memories for them all.
Elizabeth departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in Columbia, SC at the residence of her daughter.
She was preceded in death by three of her children, Annette Bellinger, Josephine Bellinger and Nathaniel Bell; her parents ; her sister Julia B. Bailey, grandson Marquel Jenkins, nephew James Bailey, and niece Melissa Bailey. She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters; Sheila White of Holly Hill, SC; Shevette Bellinger of Columbia, SC; and Queen Bell-Lawton of Orangeburg, SC; as well as her son Antwon Belle (Tiffani) of Walterboro, S. She is also survived by her cousin, Louise Armstrong, who was raised with her as a sister. Elizabeth's legacy also lives on through twenty grandchildren; Tosheba, Kenneth, leshia, Omar, Antonio, Edjuan, Shanay, Hilton, Gabrielle, Quashaunna, Laren, Kaitlyn, William, Myla, Jamayah, Antwon Jr., Nevaeh, Kyle, Nicholas, Kaleb; twelve great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her niece, Patricia Bailey, and two nephews, Willie Husser and Mark Bailey. She will also be remembered with love by devoted friends; Rev.Tony and Mary Boyd, Ruthie Mae Green and Aretha Grant along with a host of extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
