Edward Moore Lloyd

Mr. Edward Moore Lloyd, son of the Late Dorothy Mazyck Lloyd, was born July 26, 1970 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He departed this life Sunday, March 7, 2021 at  MUSC in Charleston, SC. Edward attended public school in Berkeley County, S.C.

He was a graduate of the class of 1991.  He was employed at Publix in Goose Creek for twenty five years. He loved to bowl, play video games and running.

Edward was baptized at an early age and joined Greater Emmanuel A.M.E. Church.

He was preceded in death by his Mother: Dorothy Mazyck Lloyd, Father: Elijah Lloyd and brother: Bernard Elijah Rivers, Grand parents: Mattie Simmons and Oliver Simmons.

Those left to cherish his memories: beloved mother of (19) years: Shelia Johnson Rivers of the home; siblings: Rochell Lloyd, North Charleston, SC, Donald (Samantha) Lloyd of Summerville, SC, Veronica (Ronald) Richmond of Columbia, SC; reared in the home as siblings: Kendrick Bernard Rivers and Pauline Ieshia Rivers; uncle and aunt: David (Jeddy)  Ellington of Moncks Corner, SC; special friend and mentor: Pastor Michael Samuels; a friend: James Poinsette; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Ivory’s Loving Care residential facility for taking care of Edward for a year until his death.
