Eddie Benjamin Macon was born on September 18, 1955, to the late Dan Macon and Julia Cobbs Macon in the small town of Holly Hill, South Carolina.
He received his education from the public school of Orangeburg School District Number Three. He was a 1973 graduate of Robert High School. After graduation, Eddie furthered his education at one of South Carolina’s government-funded programs. His career choice was to work with cars. He earned his certification as a paint and body technician.
At an early age, Eddie accepted the Lord as his Savior. He joined and was baptized at Lovely Hill Baptist Church where he served faithfully.
Eddie met and fell head-over-heels for Miss May Frances Butler. They got married and four children were born. He dedicated his life to his family, his church, and his career.
He was proceeded in death by his parents: Dan Macon and Julia Cobbs Macon; his sister: Queenie Bee (Robert) Turner; his brother: Jimmy Macon; and a lifelong friend: Deacon Curtis Myers.
Eddie fulfilled God’s purpose here on Earth and transition to a new life. On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, surrounded by his family, Eddie received his call from the Lord that his new house was READY.
Those who remain to cherish his memories: his one and only love of his life his wife May Frances Macon; four devoted and loving children: Qwyn Carlos Macon, Danielle Taniel Macon, Miracle Shecanah Macon, and Grace Destiny Macon all of Holly Hill, SC; three loving grandson: Isaiah Tawon (Ike) Williams, Josiah Grayson (Boo) Pringle and one awaiting arrival; his siblings: Melvin Macon and Betty (Willie) Pelzer both of Holly Hill, SC; life-long friends: The Myers Family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
