We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Ernestine W. Gadson, 77, of Eutawville, SC on Friday, November 7, 2025 at MUSC Orangeburg surrounded by her loving family.

On November 07, 2025, God in all his infinite power and wisdom, called our beloved Earnestine Wearing Gadson into eternal rest. "Sap" as she was affectionately called by her family and all who knew and loved her, was born on December 25, 1947, in Eutawville, South Carolina to the late Thomas Wearing Sr. and Rosa James Wearing. 

Earnestine was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin and friend. She was a loving and caring person who loved cooking, fishing, and crocheting. She grew up in Eutawville and attended the old Bull School. She was baptized and became a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor W.W. Wine. 

Earnestine later moved to Bronx, New York, where she remained for 15 years. She relocated to Euatwville, South Carolina. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jacob Gadson Sr. on November 13, 1979. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Lee Wearing, three sisters, Delois White, Minnie Pearl Johnson and Barbara Davis; two brothers, Eugene Wearing and Lousis Snell. She leaves a legacy of love that will always be remembered in our hearts. 

Earnestine has ascended to the present with the Lord, but her memories will be cherished by her two daughters, Charmaine Wering of the home, Tichettie (Delford Sumpter) Wearing of Eutawville, SC, one son, Jacob (Beatrice Morrison) Gadson Jr. of Jersey City, NJ; one brother, Thomas Wearing Jr., one sister, Ruth Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Zakia Jamison, Tichettia Wearing, Ronice Wearing, Jakobia Gadson, Tahreem Wearing, Tahvon Bookhart and Jayla Morrison; one daughter-in-law, Rose Lee Johnson of Bronx, NY; seven sisters-in-law, Alqueen Wearing, Shirley Gadson, Rebecca Gadson, Ruth Gadson, Tenie Lee Gadson, Juanita (Jeff) Ashby all of Eutawville, SC and Jannie Gadson of GA; three brothers-in-law, Bobby Lee (Sarah) Gadson, Willie Gadson and Rufus Gadson all of Eutawville, SC; one God daughter, Latoya White, two special nieces Dorine Cora G. White, Evone Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
