Diane Capers

Diane Capers, daughter of the late William (Bill) and Regina Heyward Capers, was born on January 16, 1953 in Holly Hill, S.C. After a brief illness she transitioned from this life on June 12, 2023 at Lowcountry Community Hospice House, Summerville, S.C.

Diane was baptized at an early age and was a member of Greater Target A.M.E Church in Holly Hill, SC. She received her education in the Orangeburg County Public School system.

Her kind hearted nature, warm spirit and outgoing personability attracted friends quickly. All who encountered her, loved and adored her. Diane loved her family and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents: William and Regina Heyward Capers, a brothe:r Bobby Capers, and her son: Darrell Capers.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving daughter: Valerie Nicole Capers of the home; two brothers: William (Karen) Capers of Washington, DC and Michael (Yolanda) Capers of Holly Hill, SC; one sister: Betty Hilliard of Santee, SC; five grandchildren: William (Chris) Capers of the home, Jamie Capers of Columbia, SC, Emanuel Capers of Rock Hill, SC, Malaysia D. Capers of Vance, SC, and Nyla High of Holly Hill, SC; two great-grandchildren: Ja'shon Capers and Blessynn Washington of Holly Hill, SC; one uncle: Charlie (Lillie Ann) Heyward of Holly Hill, SC; two aunts: Margret Corbett of St. George, SC and Deloris Heyward of Oxon Hill, MD; a special cousin: Richard White and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly
